Preparation of a balanced all-in-one food needs a lot of special and detailed information and this goal can hardly be reached by preparing the food by yourself.
Optimal nutrition of your pet requires proteins, carbohydrates, fat, minerals and vitamins:
Proteins are essential for the build-up and maintenance of the body substance and are one of the most important nutrients for the body tissue. Meat, fish and innards are the main suppliers of proteins in dog food. Meat is a natural high-quality source of proteins, however, there are different mixes of proteins in different sorts of meat. It is therefore recommended to feed various meat varieties in order to avoid any one-sidedness. Anifit provides you with this variety – as you can see in our product descriptions – because the Anifit meals contain lamb, beef and rabbit meat together with fish and poultry in different proportions. Besides, it is important to point out that too much as well as too little proteins are both bad for your pet.
Carbohydrates are used by your pet for energy production and come with cereals, rice and vegetables. Anifit products contain oat flakes (rich in iron and copper), millet, rice etc. and cover the needs of your pet.
Fats provide the animals with the necessary energy. These fats are not added by use of oils but these fats are part of the high quality fresh meat.
Minerals, as for example calcium (Ca) and phosphor (P), are both responsible for the formation and the stability of bones, for blood clotting, the avoidance of allergies, for the metabolism in general, as for the transport of fats as well as cell reproduction. If the body is short of calcium and phosphor, it draws on its reserves. When these are exhausted, health problems will appear. Even then, however, it is important to know the right amounts, as too much of these minerals also has negative effects for your pet. Magnesium (Mg) is essential for the carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. Potassium (K) is necessary for cell performance and provides a balance between acids and bases. Sodium (Na) is needed for the regulation of the body’s fluid balance and the functioning of the nerves. Iron (Fe) helps to produce red blood corpuscles and is necessary for the transport of oxygen from the lungs to the various body tissues. Copper (Cu) plays an important role in blood and pigment production and the building of connective tissue. Without copper, it would for example be impossible to transport the necessary iron to the centres of blood formation.
Sufficient meat and good raw materials are the crucial factor to fulfil all these requirements. But the raw materials have to be purchased regularly and have to be prepared daily for your pet. In order to avoid any deficiency symptoms due to an undersupply of minerals, the food should be varied.
Our products support you in this respect. You receive everything your darling pet needs for a healthy, happy and agile life. Additionally, you save the preparation time and the tedious transport of the raw materials to your home.
For you, the Anifit customer, it is quite easy to see that your pet receives a healthy and balanced nutrition. The most important criteria are:
- Shiny fur and minimal scaling
- If your dog receives the appropriate quantity of food, it will stay the same weight.
- Your dog should pass one to three times a day an average quantity of solid excrements.
- If your pet is agile and behaves corresponding to its race, you can assume that it savours its food and that it feels good.
